When you are in mood of eating Asian food but bored with Asian restaurant atmosphere or with their traditional taste then Kakama is an ideal place you should visit. It has an atmosphere of European restaurant, interior of the modern trendy bar and seating feels like modern high end restaurants in Asia. As name suggested, it has very good mix of all East Asian food. Restaurant also has a bar table and can be very handy for student hang outs, only if you are fed up with traditional bars. I think on sunny day you can also seat outside, but not sure about it.

Food is very good in taste and spicy food is still of European standard. The price range for soup is 5-9 Euros, starter 7-14 Euros, main course 12-25 Euros and dessert 7-10 Euros. Quality of the ingredients is good and food is not that raw or overcooked like other East Asian restaurants. You are served with the welcome chicken stalk; they call it vegetables in chicken stalk soup. If like to enjoy your drink in Asian style then you are at right place. It has good collection of finger food, which has twist of Asian fusion cooking. This makes it an interesting combination with drinks and your taste buds will love this. There are enough choices for alcoholic drinks including cocktails but beware you have to pay for the water bottle.

Service, the third factor which can make good food and nice atmosphere bad, is ok. Waiters here are friendly and you don’t have to wait for hours to get your food. More importantly they, waiters, know what they are serving in the restaurant, have good suggestions/ recommendations and the food comes warm on your plate.

On downside, the portion sizes are ok, less compare to other Asian restaurants. The supplements provided with course, rice or noodles, are less in quantity and you have to pay extra to get more (depends on your luck, sometimes they might give you this as a compliment). Though each dish on the menu card is well explained, for a normal person it is still very difficult to guess what will come on your plate, which actually makes it interesting. Overall I will go again to have a dinner there.
