It is one of the restaurants, which I would like to go again not only for its ambience in the atmosphere but also for the food. The interior of the restaurant is cozy. As name suggested there are five floors in zigzag manner, each having slightly different interior and seating style. There is a bar on a bunker floor with very good seating cum waiting arrangements. On sunny day you can even seat outside, on road which is very common in Netherlands. As this restaurant is situated on so called restaurant street of 's-Hertogenbosch, seating outside on sunny warm day will be more fun. I think hence they should call the restaurant ‘De 6 kamers’.

Food is European style. An average price for soup is 8 Euros, starter 12 Euros, main course 25 Euros and dessert 10 Euros. Quality of the ingredients is good and food is not overcooked. Bread is warm and freshly baked just coming from the oven, potato chips are served in an innovative way and salad was freshly cut. The taste of the food is very good and fills like to have another go on same of different dish. There is very good collection of wine but beware you have to pay for the water.

The third factor which can make good food and nice atmosphere bad is a service. However in ‘De 5 Kamers’ the service is OK. Waiters are friendly and you don’t have to wait for hours to get your food. More importantly they, waiters, know what they are serving in the restaurant as well as the food comes warm on your plate.

On downside, though the portion sizes are ok the supplements provided with course are less in quantity for two people and you have paid extra to get more. Drinks are little overpriced and beside wine there aren’t many choices on the menu card. Though each dish on the menu card is explained in four different languages, it is still very difficult to follow, for a normal person. Overall I will recommend this restaurant for dinner out.
